Our Story: Gold Coast Marina owners Paul & Rosie Dixon
It only took one stop for Paul & Rosie Dixon to fall in love with the beauty of Frankfort and Betsie Bay.
They are lifelong Michigan residents from Rosebush, a small town just north of Mount Pleasant.
Rosie tells their story "About 12 years ago we drove up north on M-22, heading no place in particular. We stopped in Frankfort, parked our car and walked into the marina where we saw Bill Mitchell's big boat, the Mitchmate and the bay. We never wanted to leave.
We didn't have a boat, but Paul and I committed right then to a life on the water. It took a few years, but we got our boat and made it back to beautiful Frankfort and the great fishing.
We got a slip at the Mitchell Marina, and when we learned that Bill was willing to sell, we worked and worked to make it happen. This is a beautiful area and it calls you back. Whenever we're downstate, we're always longing to head back north."
Paul & Rosie won't need to fight that longing any more. They will be living at Gold Coast Marina and very much hope you will join them.
